On December 2, 2017, Max Holloway will go head to head with José Aldo.
Max Holloway made his debut into the UFC back in 2012 at UFC 143. While he lost his first battle in the Octagon, he didn’t let it shake his confidence and came back months later to fight Pat Schilling. After nearly knocking Schilling out several times throughout the match, Holloway ended up winning the battle by unanimous decision and thus began his climb to the top. Holloway has since proven his skill and determination as he has fought reputable fighters such as Anthony Pettis, and José Aldo. Max Holloway is the UFC’s current Featherweight Champion.
Up against Holloway is José Aldo. José Aldo is a mixed martial artist who is trained in Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Luta Livre, Kickboxing, Capoeira and is currently in his second reign as the UFC Featherweight Champion. His first reign lasted for a total of 5 years, during which time he defeated formidable opponents such as Frankie Edgar, and Chad Mendes. Aldo has an impressive and extensive record in the UFC. He has fought a total of 29 times and has won 26 of those matchups – 14 by TKO, 2 by submission, and 10 by decision. His last fight, which he went up against Max Holloway ended with his defeat in the third round by TKO.
