On Saturday March 4, 2017 watch as Tyron Woodley defends his belt for a second time against Stephen Thompson for the Welterweight Championship Belt. On November 12, 2016 at UFC 205, the two faced off for the belt and Woodley maintained his title as the UFC Welterweight Champion. It was an epic battle which ended up being awarded the Fight of the Night honours.
Tyron Woodley is a mixed martial artist and former wrestler. Back in 2013, Woodley made his debut into the UFC against Jay Hieron. He won his first ever UFC fight by KO within 36 seconds of the first round. Tyron Woodley has fought a total of 20 times, and has won 16 of those match ups – 6 by TKO, 5 by submission, and 5 by decision. On July 20, 2016 Woodley faced Robbie Lawler for the UFC Welterweight Championship and won the fight by KO in the first round.
Stephen Thompson is a mixed martial artist and kickboxer. Thompson has a lengthy kickboxing career, and made his UFC debut at UFC 143 on February 4, 2012 against Dan Stittgen. Thompson won the fight within the first round by KO after landing a flush head kick. His first UFC performance awarded Thompson the Knockout of the Night honors. Stephen Thompson has fought a total of 15 times in the UFC, and has won 13 of those battles – 7 by TKO, 1 by submission, and 7 by decision.
