UFC 214: Cormier vs Jones 2
Tyron Woodley Vs. Demian Maia
Cris Cyborg Vs. Tonya Evinger
Richardo Lamos Vs. Jason Knight

The intense rivalry between Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones is no secret, and it has been broadcasted in various UFC promotional conferences – one of which nearly ended in a fight between the two. Their tumultuous relationship and extreme dislike for one another gained notice back in January 2015 when the two went head to head at UFC 182.

The first rematch between Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones was originally scheduled to take place on April 23, 2016, at UFC197 but Cormier had to pull out of the match due to a foot injury. Ovince Saint Preux replaced Cormier in the match and was defeated by Jon Jones by unanimous decision. Another rematch was scheduled for UFC200 on July 9, 2016, but doping allegations forced Jones to drop from the title event.

After Jon Jones was stripped from his belt back in April 2015, Cormier went up against Anthony Jonson for the Light Heavyweight title belt at UFC 187. Cormier defeated Jonson in the third round and was awarded the Light Heavyweight title belt. Following that match-up, Cormier defended his title belt against Alexander Gustafsson at UFC 192, a fight that earned them the Fight of the Night. Since then, Cormier he fought Anderson Silva and Anthony Jonson again and has remained victorious.

Daniel Cormier is an Olympian turned UFC Champion who is expertly trained in Wrestling as well as Boxing. The current UFC Light Heavyweight Champion boasts an impressive record of a total of 17 wins, 6 by TKO, and only 1 loss by decision. In 2004, Cormier competed in the Olympics and went home in fourth place. In 2008, he returned to the Olympics as the USA team captain. Daniel Cormier is the current Heavyweight Champion.
The youngest Champion in UFC history, Jon Jones, won the Light Heavyweight title belt when he was just 23 years old at UFC 128 against Mauricio Rua. Jones remained the champion until he was stripped of his title on April 28, 2015. Up until this point, Jones maintained an impressive undefeated record and had defended his title against formidable opponents such as Lyoto Machida, Rashad Evans, Alexander Gustafsson, and Daniel Cormier. Jones is the very first UFC fighter to defeat Daniel Cormier.
